  1. In 2008, he portrayed as German Colonel who was instrumental in the conspiracy to assassinate Adolf Hitler during World War II in the film “Valkriye” which was a huge box office hit grossing $200 million worldwide, making it one of the top five WWII Themed films of all time.
  2. In June 2006, he was ranked at #1 in the Forbes’ annual list of the “World’s Hundred Most Powerful Stars.” In 2012, he was the Top Most Paid Actor in Hollywood, with more than 20 of his movies grossing over $200 dollars worldwide.
  3. In May 2011, he was honored with a “Simon Wiesenthal humanitarian award” from Mentor – LA organization for his efforts in the favor of Los Angeles kids worldwide.
  4. In June 2016, he received the “Entertainment Icon Award” from Friars Club, the organization has given out the award only three times in its 108-year history and this foundation chairman Joseph Zappala expressed his gratitude to Cruise stating his humanitarian efforts and his achievements in cinema and the arts.
